Microsoft UK has created the new role of director of law and corporate affairs.
Rowan Winter Vevers joins from Atos UK, where she was
general counsel and director of commercial and corporate affairs. She will head the six-strong Microsoft UK legal team based in Reading, and the Microsoft UK Government affairs team of three based in London.
A key part of her role will be to foster closer links between Microsoft’s European, Middle East and African legal and corporate affairs functions.
Winter Vevers was a partner in the consulting division of KPMG prior to the acquisition of the UK and Dutch arms by Atos in August 2002. She was previously at the BBC, where she played key roles in the establishment of BBC Technology Limited and in the setting up of the BBC’s digital, interactive and online services.
