Denton Wilde Sapte’s push to ramp up its leveraged finance practice continues with the arrival of Clifford Chance‘s head of English acquisition finance in Frankfurt Ian Yeo.

Yeo, a senior associate at Clifford Chance, will join Denton’s London office as a junior equity partner. The firm also recently took on Theodore Goddard partner Michael Black and Ashurst Morris Crisp senior associate Richard Garvan.

Head of leveraged finance Christopher Fanner told The Lawyer that the firm was still looking for further hires in this arena.

These hires have in part been fuelled by an increase in work in the practice, which has seen the firm advise on more than £4bn of leveraged loans in the past three months.

Deals included advising the Royal Bank of Canada on the Selfridges deal, acting for the Royal Bank of Scotland on a number of deals, including the Boosey & Hawkes management buyout, and advising ABN Amro on the Safeways deal.
