Linklaters has launched an automated documentation programme designed to speed up the leveraged term sheet process.

The Leveraged Term Sheet Generator (LTSG) will be used by Linklaters clients as a desktop programme, reducing the time it takes to produce a leveraged term sheet from 8 to 12 hours to approximately one hour.

Linklaters global head of banking, Robert Elliot, commented: “We have already received very positive feedback from key debt providers active in the European leveraged finance market.”

Linklaters first launched an IT based documentation programme in 2003, with the launch of Term Sheet Generator.

As reported in The Lawyer (April 2003) the programme provides an online questionnaire which when completed creates a legal term sheet.

The LTSG also provides a client support function which allows clients to access advice from the Linklaters team.
