Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Rio Tinto, RPS Group and RWE nPower are funding the launch of the Carbon Capture Legal Project by University College London (UCL).

The stated aims of the project are to develop a resource base for legal developments in the carbon capture and storage (CCS) field.

UCL’s Centre for Law and the Environment will manage the project and hopes to be able to drive the legal and regulatory framework of CCS forward.
