The frenzied Parisian recruitment market is continuing to buzz after French independent De Pardieu Brocas Maffei has recruited a new head of competition from Norton Rose.
Norton Rose associate Philippe Guibert will become a partner and head of the competition group at the French firm and is expected to bring an associate with him.
His move follows the departure of Norton Rose’s former competition head Jean-Patrice de la Laurencie who recently left for White & Case.
De la Laurencie was joined this week by Norton Rose corporate partner Eric Laplante however Guibert chose not to move with his former colleagues to the US firm.
Competition partner Laure Givry has been promoted to head the competition group at Norton Rose.
Guibert replaces former De Pardieu name partner Jean Leygonie, who, along with partner Anna Tolila, announced their decision to leave the firm four months ago.
