In brief: Rubina Cassell

Rubina Cassell, the Wilde Sapte lawyer who sued her former firm for disability discrimination, has lost her claim. Cassell, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, brought the case under the new Disability Discrimination Act. It was one of the first cases of its kind to reach an industrial tribunal. Wilde Sapte personnel director David Fowler says: “It's a relief that it's behind us, but I don't want to give any sense of gloating over this matter.”
