Eversheds, DWF in Welsh education coup

Eversheds and DWF have been appointed to the Welsh Further Education Purchasing Consortium (WFEPC) legal panel. They will be joined by regional firms Morgan Cole and Geldards.

All of the firms have been appointed to the panel for a 12-month period with options to extend.

The appointment to the panel is a particular coup for DWF, as it is the only firm that does not have a presence in Wales.

The firm was asked to pitch for the role directly by the WFEPC, the procurement body for further education colleges in Wales, which was established in 1999.

DWF joint head of education Sue Malia told The Lawyer: “The work we’ll do will include work on contract, commercial, corporate and finance matters. They’ll all be dealt with by lawyers with a knowledge of education clients.”

Eversheds, Geldards and Morgan Cole all have offices in Cardiff, while Morgan Cole has a further Welsh office in Swansea.
