Partners on the move…

Nabarro Nathanson partner, Mark Kingston, has moved in-house to Tishman Speyer Properties. Kingston has been appointed European general counsel. His departure comes after almost 10 years in the Nabarros' commercial property department.

Jane Shirran has been appointed to the position of general counsel for Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, leading the in-house legal teams for both banks. The appointment consolidates the senior management team in line with the banks' reorganisation. Caryn Penley and Alison Glover of Hammond Suddards have been appointed senior corporate lawyers with responsibility for Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank respectively.

Michele Phillips and Gary Salt have been appointed corporate partners at Leeds firm Lupton Fawcett. Salt was previously a corporate finance partner with Leeds firm Addleshaw Booth & Co. Their appointments follow the recent recruitment of commercial property partner David Barraclough.

Bristol firm Alsters has appointed two new partners. Jamie Kyd joins the commercial property department from Forrester & Forrester, while Adrian Bressington joins the litigation department from Putsmans, where he was head of commercial litigation.

Ashurst Morris Crisp telecoms partner, James Nimmo, is leaving the firm to join the European IT and telecoms practice of US firm Squire Sanders & Dempsey at the end of this month. Last week, it was reported that Stewart White is also leaving the firm to join Vodaphone
