Cameron McKenna partner Elena Kirillova, head of the firm's CIS group, has become only the second foreign lawyer to qualify as a lawyer in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Kirillova, who has been working in Uzbekistan since 1993, said: “Advising foreign investors in this region requires a thorough understanding of local law and an ability to apply it in an imaginative way to what are often bespoke legal structures.”
