Davenport Lyons head of property dispute resolution Jonathan Aubrey is moving to Taylor Joynson Garrett (TJG)

He replaces TJG's current head of the property disputes group Garry Turkie, who is leaving the firm.
Aubrey's move will come as a dent to the practice as he is Davenport Lyons' only partner specialising in property litigation, although there are a number of assistants who work in contentious property. Davenport Lyons is looking for a replacement for him.
Turkie is a highly rated property disputes partner. He has been a partner at TJG since 1990. He works across the firm's insolvency and professional negligence groups, as well as in property litigation. According to TJG property head Neil White, it is not known where Turkie is going. “It's fair to say that he is leaving for personal reasons,” said White. “He's certainly not joining another law firm.”
Aubrey currently acts for Tesco and Derwent Valley Holdings, the £38.8m property company that owns more than 50 buildings containing more than 2 million sq ft of London office space.
White would not reveal if these key clients were following Aubrey to TJG. He would also not reveal whether Aubrey was joining as an equity partner. Aubrey was a partner at Davenport Lyons for three years.
“It was very fortunate. We knew of him and his CV landed on the right desk at the time when we were looking for someone,” said White.
