Weightmans has appointed Clive Bleasdale as its new head of property, poaching him and a team of lawyers from North West firm Perkins Solicitors.
Bleasdale, formerly head of property and founder of Perkins’ Liverpool office three years ago, will be based in Weightmans’ Liverpool branch. He and his team have previously advised clients including Swiss Life (UK) and Felton Developments and have worked on property developments in the North West and nationally.
The hire follows January’s announcement that Weightmans was to focus more on commercial property work, particularly in Liverpool.
Patrick Gaul, Weightmans’ managing partner, said Bleasdale’s appointment would make the firm’s commercial property department one of the strongest in the North West.
