Dechert London concluded its protracted search for new premises after finalising a deal to take up new offices at Times Square.

The Philadelphia-based firm has finally signed a lease to take on 55,000 sq ft at Times Square, 160 Queen Victoria Street with an option to take additional space. The new office will accommodate 280 fee earners and support staff.

Dechert is hoping to move out of Serjeant’s Inn and into its new offices later this year. The move signals the end of Dechert’s long search for premises, which began in 1999 when the firm was still known as Titmuss Sainer Dechert.

The search was put on hold in 2000 until spring this year, as the firm came to terms with its merger with Philadelphia-based Dechert Price & Rhodes.
