St Louis-based Bryan Cave has raided national rival Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman for nine attorneys for its Washington DC, New York and Los Angeles offices.
The five lawyers joining in DC and New York will bolster Bryan Cave’s financial institutions practice. The team is led by partners Carol Van Cleef in DC and Judith Rinearson in New York.
Joseph Myers and Patrice Alice Motz join in DC as counsel and special counsel respectively. Their focus is white collar crime. Motz previously headed the money services business group of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network at the US Treasury.
The four lawyers joining Bryan Cave’s Los Angeles office focus on corporate finance, M&A, private equity and international transactions, particularly relating to the Pacific Rim.
Partners Evan Chuck and David Stepp join as partners and Katherine McDaniel and Nicole Janigian Simonian as counsel.
McDaniel’s IP practice focuses on trademark, copy-right and internet issues, as well as transactions and litigation.
