Allen & Overy (A&O) has been hit with another departure – the fourth partner exit to be revealed on the same day.
Stuart Harray, a partner in A&O’s energy and utilities practice, has become the latest partner to quit the magic circle firm this week. Harray, who has been a partner at A&O since 1998 is leaving the firm in the summer to join New Zealand-based Russell McVeagh, where he qualified.
His resignation follows the departures of Angus Duncan, Julian Tucker and David Harrison who quit earlier today to join Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, Shearman & Sterling and Berwin Leighton Paisner respectively (all first revealed on www.thelawyer.com 16 March.
An A&O spokesperson said: “Stuart has decided to leave the firm in order to return home to New Zealand with his family. We wish him the best of luck.”
