Linklaters has overhauled its Middle East leadership team, bringing in Milan co-managing partner Sarosh Mewawalla as Dubai managing partner and finance practice head.
Mewawalla’s appointment, effective from September, comes after incumbent Dubai managing partner Ewan Cameron was promoted to regional senior partner. Cameron will also become co-head of global M&A alongside seven other partners across seven jurisdictions.
The appointments form part of a new dedicated emerging markets group servicing clients across emerging Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (EEMENA) regions, which was launched earlier this year. Nick Eastwell, EEMENA managing partner, said the new steps reflect the firm’s growth in Dubai.
