DMH Stallard has swallowed up London-based company commercial firm Courts & Co as the South East’s firms continue to consolidate.
With five new partners from Courts, the merger will increase the size of DMH Stallard’s London practice by 25 per cent.
Tim Aspinall, managing partner at DMH Stallard, said: “Courts & Co have a nice M&A practice for private companies, so that will help us develop our corporate practice, as well as planning and real estate.”
DMH Stallard currently boasts a heavy presence in Gatwick, but hopes to grow the London office from 80 to 200 people over a three to five-year period in its new Fetter Lane offices.
The move follows a trend of consolidation in the region, with Davies Arnold Cooper taking over KSB Law, Thomas Eggar merging with Penningtons‘ entire Newbury office and Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons undergoing four mergers in as many years.
