Stephenson Harwood’s ruling partnership committee has been reduced from 13 members to just four. There are no longer any Sinclair Roche & Temperley lawyers left on the key committee.

Sinclair Roche’s former senior partner Jeff Morgan, who along with three other partners faces a sex discrimination claim of some £1m, joined the partnership council when the firms merged, but has now left following a period of integration.

The four partners on the firm’s council, who were voted in by the entire partnership, are John Fordham, Roland Foord, Hugo Jenney and Andrew Sutch. Chief executive John Pike said that it was a long-term ambition to scale down the size of the governing council and that this represented part of the firm’s constitutional and strategic review.
