THE SOLICITOR who advised on the launch of what is claimed to be the first interactive Personal Equity Plan on the Internet has described it as an unusual but relatively straightforward job.
Macfarlane's partner Tim Cornick was called in by MBO Advisory Partners to advise on the launch of NetPep, a personal equity plan which can be subscribed to on the Internet.
"It was published in a medium different to the Sunday papers, but it is still just a piece of paper with writing," he said.
The NetPEP scheme allows users to download information and express views on how NetPEP should vote at the company meetings of businesses in which the fund invests.
