Mark Stewart has been elected the managing partner of Clifford Chance’s London finance practice.
Stewart takes up his appointment from 1 May 2006 for a period of four years. He won the appointment following an uncontested election.
“I am delighted to take on this role. We have an extremely successful
finance practice in London and I look forward to working with all partners
to build on the considerable progress we have already achieved” said Stewart.
Stewart takes over from Tim Plews who is standing down to concentrate on client work, as first revealed in The Lawyer (6 March).
Stewart has been a partner at the firm since 1990 and specialises in general finance law.
