The pair are set to join Pinsents as partners, with Timmins becoming head of the pensions team in Leeds.
The announcement is in line with the firm’s strategy to grow its pensions group with further hires to be made.
Timmins has increased Eversheds’ pensions practice turnover in Leeds four-fold since her move there in 2001. Under her leadership, the group’s turnover has jumped to a projected £1.7m this year.
Her team has made a number of client wins such as Vaillant Pensions Scheme Trustees, British Vita Pension Funds and Wm Morrison 1967 Pension Scheme Trustees. On the company side, Timmins has acted for clients including Heywood Williams Group PLC and Nickerson (UK).
Whitton, an associate at Eversheds, specialises in private sector pensions work.
Pinsents’ managing partner David Ryan said the appointments were a coup for the firm’s northern proposition.
