What was your first-ever job?

Builder’s labourer.

What was your worst experience as a trainee?
Being used as an enquiry agent in a family matter.

More than my life’s worth to answer this.

What time do you usually leave the office?
Between 6.30 and 7pm.

What do you do at weekends?
My weekends are spent playing sport – badly.

The Busaba, a Thai restaurant in Wardour Street, London.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you have been?
An aid worker.

Sir David Napley.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Teamwork.

What’s the toughest thing about your job?
Representing people dying from avoidable medical errors.

What’s your biggest work/career mistake and what did you learn from it?
While working in an office in Toronto, I asked to borrow a rubber, rather than an eraser. I learnt to be more precise.

What car(s) do you drive?
Lexus.
