Insulating lofts in the summer holidays.

Losing some unregistered title deeds, which were found in a local pub in Derby (which is where the completion took place).

The administration team’s office.

It varies, but not often later than 6.00pm (I tend to start early) – but then I’m often out with clients.

What do you do at weekends?
Golf, suffer watching Derby County FC, watch my son play cricket, walk the dog and see family, friends and the odd client (not always in that order).

What’s your favourite restaurant?
The Bay Tree in Melbourne, Derbyshire.

If you weren’t a lawyer what would you have been?
I honestly don’t know.

Grantham. It’s not that exciting and it’s hard to get to. A good choice then.

What’s the longest you’ve worked without sleep?
I like sleep, so I’ve probably only lost the one night. In any case I don’t think commercial property lawyers have the need (unlike our corporate counterparts) to brag about several nights without any. It’s not good for the professional indemnity insurance either.
