Hammonds partners are about to vote on a merger with the Madrid practice of Slaughter and May’s Dutch best friend NautaDutilh.
Nauta’s Madrid office has been on the market since last Summer, when the top tier Dutch firm decided to concentrate its efforts on its Benelux, London and New York.
If Hammonds’ partners approve the move, already agreed by the executives of both firms, Nauta’s Madrid office will become part of the UK firm’s European network this May.
Nauta has two partners in Madrid and last year is understood to have generated a turnover of £2.5m.
The vote will take place by Wednesday 22 January.
