Eversheds is pushing ahead with the development of an international real estate and finance practice

The firm has hired a partner and three assistants from SG Archibald, the former French arm of Andersen Legal.

Kristine Karsten is dual-qualified in France and the US. She joins Paris real estate partner Alexandre de Goüyon Matignon and six other partners at the office. Eversheds plans further growth for Paris.

New head of international Alan Jenkins said: “The recruitment of Kristine is an example of our ambitious plans for the growth and development of the Paris office. So too was our move to premises twice the size at 8 Place d'Iena at the turn of the year.”

De Goüyon Matignon added: “One of our primary objectives is to develop a strong presence in the French real estate market.”
