Forsters has exchanged contracts for long-term client Invista Real Estate on a town centre redevelopment in Carmarthen.

The firm was instructed on the £73m deal in March this year, acting on behalf of investment funds for Clerical Medical and St James’s Place, which are managed by Invista.

Invista will purchase a vacant site and will fund the development of the complex by the site’s current owners, Simons Developments and Carmarthenshire County Council.

Senior projects partner Sophie Hamilton led the Forsters team and partner Jake Davies provided construction advice.

Eversheds partner Brendan Walsh acted for Simons Developments.
