I worked for my uncle’s sterling silver jewellery business in the summer holidays.

Working seven weekends in a row.

The trainees are usually helpful in this regard.
What do you do at weekends?
Relax with my wife; play British League table tennis; watch my beloved Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Spurs’ centre forward or a member of Take That.
What’s your favourite film?
The Shawshank Redemption.
What was the first record you ever bought?
I’m not that old! It would have been a Genesis CD.
Who’s your hero and why?
My father, the greatest man who has ever lived and to whom I dedicate any of my successes.
What book are you reading?
The Way I see It by Lord Sugar.
What’s your favourite children’s book?
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.
What’s the most exciting deal/case you’ve worked on and why?
There are almost too many to pick one out, but I immensely enjoy IPOs – taking a company to market is considered the pinnacle of its growth and development.
What’s the worst partner conference location you’ve attended and why?
I have not yet attended a partner conference outside London.
What’s the longest you’ve worked without sleep?
If a movie was being made about your life, which actor would play you and why?
Colin Firth, an incredible actor yet straightforward, modest and level-headed.
Who would you least like to be stuck in a lift with and why?
Arsene Wenger. No prizes for guessing why.

I’m a former national table tennis team champion; I met my wife while participating in an international sporting event abroad; I used to support Arsenal.
