Lovells has lost commercial disputes partner Craig Monty to Newcastle giant Dickinson Dees.
Monty, who was at Lovells for 17 years, specialises in professional indemnity work and trusts and pensions disputes.
Dickinson Dees’ managing partner Neil Braithwaite told The Lawyer that Monty’s appointment will enable the firm to expand its existing client base into pensions litigation work.
Monty’s brief is to develop Dickinson Dees’ litigation capability in Teesside and the majority of his time will be based in that office.
Monty said: “I’m moving back to my routes in the North East. I had a very happy career at Lovells but after 17 years I decided I’d like to come home.”
