DLA Piper Moscow stalwart joins LeBoeuf

LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae has moved to bolster its Russian practice with the hire of a DLA Piper Moscow founding partner.

LeBoeuf, which continues to be highly active with lateral recruitment, has taken Norair Babadjanian to head the firm’s Russia and CIS dispute resolution practice. Babadjanian previously held the same role with DLA Piper in the Russian capital.

He will split his time between LeBoeuf’s London and Moscow offices and will work closely with the firm’s rated litigation partners Arthur Marriott QC in London and Eric Schwartz in Paris.

Marriott was a lateral hire from Debevoise & Plimpton while Schwartz joined the firm last year as one of several hires from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Babadjanian will also work with Moscow counsel Leila Litvinova.

LeBoeuf chairman Steven Davis said in a statement: “[Babadjanian] is an impressive addition to our leading practice in Russia and the CIS, and will enhance our international dispute resolution capabilities there for clients.”
