Offshore firm Conyers Dill & Pearman has boosted its London presence with the re-hire of private client partner Edward Stone from Withers.
Stone re-joins the London office of the Bermuda-headquartered firm today (11 September) as London head of private client, after a spell in the Geneva office of Withers.
He previously spent three and a half years with Conyers’ Bermuda office, having originally joined in 2002 after five years at Withers in London and Paris.
Conyers has joined the swathe of offshore firms expanding their international reach in recent months, following Cayman-headquartered Walkers lead to launch its eight office in Dubai in July.
Stone’s rehire sees the London office rebound to its previous size of five lawyers, after London-based associate Roger Burgess was promoted to partner and moved to Dubai to run the new office.
Stone will be the firm’s first Bermudian qualified trust lawyer with experience working in London. The office has previously focused on corporate and commercial matters.
