Fladgate Fielder is expanding its employment practice after hiring Charles Russell partner Brian Palmer as its employment chief.
The firm is better known for its real estate credentials, and Fladgate’s three-partner employment practice currently only services existing corporate clients.
Palmer aims to develop a fully fledged employment practice. “Fladgate wants to develop areas outside its core practices,” said Palmer. “They’re taking steps towards building a strong employment practice.”
Palmer, who was with Charles Russell for nine years, will join Fladgate in June. He said he would look for lateral hires immediately. At Charles Russell he helped build up a strong employment practice and said he aimed to do the same for Fladgate.
The firm also appointed employment partner Nick Tsatsas in July from Michael Simkins, where he headed the employment practice.
