The Lawyer HR Awards 2008: BLP scoops team of the year

The HR Awards kicked off in fine style last night with Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) scooping the coveted HR team of the year award for the second year in a row.

BLP’s innovative HR policies helped the team win three awards. It scooped the most effective internal communications award and the prize for excellence in training.

Pinsent Masons’ Jonathan Bond bagged the gong for best HR director for the lasting impact he had made at the firm. Tyco scooped the best in-house recruitment campaign.

The star of Marion & Geoff, actor Rob Brydon, was on fine form as host, revealing that it was a childhood dream to be involved in a night that rewarded the pursuit of human resources excellence in the law.
