In brief: Deacons partner appeals bankruptcy

A former partner of collapsed north-west firm Deacon Goldrein Green has lodged an appeal against her bankruptcy. Patricia Reynolds was declared bankrupt after a hearing at Liverpool County Court in October, along with two other former partners, Martin Green and Robert Ollerhead. Further action was then stayed until 30 November to allow them time to lodge appeals, but only Reynolds has done so. A date has yet to be fixed for her appeal. The trio had all objected to the bankruptcy petitions which were lodged against them by North West Securities Trust. The firm, which was one of the largest in the North West with 18 offices, collapsed last autumn with debts of several million pounds. Nine partners have already been declared bankrupt and the company has been officially wound up.
