Birchams joins Hutton inquiry for Kelly family

Westminster firm Bircham Dyson Bell has been brought in to advise the family of Dr David Kelly (left) in the Hutton inquiry. Senior partner Ian McCulloch and head of litigation Peter Jacobson will lead the case. Jeremy Gompertz QC and Jason Beer of 5 Essex Court are acting as counsel for the family. As revealed on news (30 July), Clifford Chance is acting for Lord Hutton’s head of public policy. Last week, Hutton appointed 3 Hare Court’s James Dingemans QC and Peter Knox as lead counsel and junior counsel respectively. The BBC has appointed 1 Brick Court’s Andrew Caldecott QC.
