Gulf International Bank’s (GIB) UK head of legal and compliance Dominic Bacon has discovered a rather novel method for picking a nanny involving a process that could easily have been mistaken for speed dating.

Bacon and his wife were given three minutes to meet potential nannies. The nannies and couples that matched each others’ requirements were then given another opportunity to get to know each other. Although the whole process sounds a little bizarre, Bacon is nevertheless convinced that ‘speed interviewing’ is the ideal way to find a perfect match between children, parents and nannies.

Tulkinghorn wonders what else this method will be used for, though. Picking law firms, perhaps?
