TJG works on Inspop e-insurance shares sale

Taylor Joynson Garrett acted for internet company in one of the first online insurance acquisitions.
The firm helped the company's board of directors smooth over the sale of shares to the acquirer, motor insurer Admiral Group.
Corporate lawyer Kathryn Tarbutt led the team with partner Peter Kempe, calling in lawyers from the employment and tax departments.
They prepared the sale-and-purchase agreement and auxiliary documents for the year-old independent company, which was the first to offer a commission-free insurance website.
Kempe said: “We worked with the board, which then advised the shareholders.”
The deal was closed on 31 July for an undisclosed amount.
Corporate partner Keir Barrie from the London office of US firm Buchanan Ingersoll led the team advising Admiral.
