Newcastle-based firm Dickinson Dees has made up five lawyers to the partnership, its highest number of promotions in four years.
Last year the firm made up two partners and brought in two laterals. In 2004-05 Dickinson Dees promoted four, while in 2003-04 the firm made up two partners.
The latest round of promotions brings the firm’s partnership to 68, including Alex Rodger who has been made up after joining the pensions team last year from Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, where he was head of pensions.
The promotions follow the Dickinson Dees’ tenth consecutive year of growth in turnover, hitting £47.8m. The figure is up 10 per cent on last year’s, when top line was £43.8m.
The promotions are also in line with North East rival Ward Hadaway, which promoted three associates to the partnership this year, as reported on www.thelawyer.com (14 June).
Deborah Jude becomes the fourth partner in Dickinson Dees’ private client team, Kevin Robertson becomes the firm’s fourth projects partner and Frank Orr becomes firm’s third planning partner. Paul Stewart has also been made up in litigation.
