Clifford Chance Pünder is luring Deloitte & Touche lawyer Hans Stamm as a partner.
Stamm will join the Munich office together with a team of three associates.
He joined Deloitte & Touche in 1994 and has spent time in New York handling US leases and private equity funds. He was made partner of the accountant’s legal arm, Raupach & Wollert-Elmnendorff, in 1998.
His experience includes structured finance, private equity, capital markets and international tax law. His appointment to the finance practice has already won the firm new business, claims Clifford Chance.
Stamm is taking associates Michael Schuler, Stefan Suß and Holger von Livonius with him.
Stuart Popham, global head of Clifford Chance’s finance practice, says: “We are aiming to become the leading finance practice in Germany and are delighted that someone of Hans’ proven calibre and high market reputation has chosen to join us. We are not the only firm to have recognised his particular strengths.”
