Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft has boosted its New York IP team with the hire of two partners from IP firm Morgan & Finnegan.
IP litigators Bartholomew Verdirame and Tony Pezzano have become the fourth and fifth partners to leave Morgan & Finnegan for Cadwalader in the last few months. Cadwalader launched its IP group in September with the hire of three Morgan & Finnegan partners in New York. The firm now has 25 lawyers in its IP group.
Verdirame said: “We see opportunities in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals and petrochemicals, as well as in patent litigation before the International Trade Commission.”
Verdirame is a patent litigator, specialising in pharmaceuticals, chemistry, and engineering patents. Pezzano also focuses on patent litigation, representing clients in International Trade Commission proceedings.
