Sydney-based firm Gray & Perkins has entered into an alliance with German firm Brandi Dršge Piltz Heuer & Gronemeyer (BDPHG) with the pair seeking to tap into the increasingly lucrative Chinese market.

Under the terms of the alliance, which will be made official on 17 January, BDPHG will use Gray & Perkins’ Beijing office to service clients in China.

“BDPHG has referred a substantial amount of work to Beijing and is excited by the opportunities China holds for German companies,” said Gray & Perkins senior associate Peter Karcher.

Gray & Perkins opened its Beijing office in 2003. The office now services clients in Australia, the US and Europe on IP, dispute resolution, foreign direct investment and M&A.
