Known as one of the hardest-working men in the business, Robert Rhodes QC is apparently moonlighting. Where he finds the time we don’t know, but unless we’re mistaken he also manages to cram in the odd – very odd – trip to the country in the guise of Herr Lipp, German tour guide to dozens of prepubescent boys visiting that little idyll Royston Vasey. Oddly, if it is the same man – and we stress we’re not sure – he affects a convincing German accent, presumably to throw any unsatisfied clients (does he have any?) off his trail. He also turns extraordinarily camp. How that goes down at the Garrick Club we’re not quite sure.
