Keitley will be based in Bond Pearce’s Southampton office and will have prime responsibility for the firm’s non-contentious insolvency offering in that region.
He will work closely with existing partner Joanne Rumley, who oversees Bond Pearce’s insolvency and restructuring practice. Together they will lead the development of the firm’s national and regional offering, including the bank recoveries practice. Hedge fund specialist Lussan has rebranded as Laven Legal Services and hired associate Oliver Quarmby from Collins Stewart Europe, where he was assistant director of corporate finance.

Corporate lawyer Geraldine Fabre has been promoted to partner at Pritchard Englefield.

City employment specialist Archon Solicitors has promoted James Williams and Jill Scott to the partnership.

West End law firm Brecher has promoted Bradley Lee from the business law department and Emma Glassberg from the property department to partner.

Aerospace partner Sue Barham has returned to Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, where she spent seven years as associate. She leaves Gates & Partners, where she was a partner.

Wallace has promoted head of commercial and IP Matthew Pryke to partner.

Harold Benjamin, the niche real estate practice, has appointed Richard Budds as a senior associate in its dispute resolution and litigation department. He joins the firm from Metson Cross Solicitors.

Michelmores has made up three new partners: Tom Cockayne in dispute resolution, Joe Gribble in property and Zoe Porter in private client.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has appointed London-based partner Laurie McFadden and Hamburg-based partner Dirk Hamann as joint heads of its energy and natural resources sector group. They replace Simon Marchant, who has been appointed as Asia regional managing partner.

Boyes Turner has boosted its construction practice with the hire of senior construction lawyer John Starr from Denton Wilde Sapte, where he was an associate. At Boyes Turner Starr will head the firm’s growing contentious and non-contentious construction practice.

Bevan Brittan has hired commercial resolution associate Ben Palmer from Slaughter and May. He will be based in the Bristol office.

Battens Solicitors has recruited Maeve Vickery from Devon County Council to head its employment team. She arrives as an associate in Yeovil.

Collyer Bristow has hired real estate litigation consultant Michael Grace from Olswang, where he was a partner.

Thring Townsend Lee & Pembertons has promoted five to its partnership. They are: Virginia Chalmers in personal injury, Ramona Derbyshire in commercial litigation, Bryn Hesketh in claims defence, Becky Ricards in private client and Kate Westbrook in commercial.

Wills and probate solicitor Heather Kirk and road traffic solicitor Vanessa Willett have been promoted to associates at Nottingham law firm Rothera Dowson.

Rob Gore, an associate with North West firm Stephensons Solicitors, has been accepted as a member of the national association Solicitors for the Elderly.

Walker Morris has expanded its banking and asset finance litigation practice with the appointment of associate Sally-Ann Davis from TLT Solicitors, where she was a solicitor.

Faludi Wolf Theiss has launched a dedicated tax practice with the hire of partner Balázs Békés. Prior to joining the firm, Békés was an international tax partner with Deloitte in Hungary.

DLA Piper has recruited Mallesons Stephen Jacques litigation partner Harris Chan in Hong Kong. Chan joins the construction team with associate May Ng, also from Mallesons.

Three lawyers from Fox Mandal Little have been elected as members of parliament in the Indian elections. Agatha Sangma was elected for the National Congress Party in Meghalaya, Hamdullah Sayeed for The Congress in Lakshadweep and Mausam Noor for the Indian National Congress in West Bengal.

Covington & Burling has recruited David Kornblau, former chief litigation counsel for the Securities and Exchange Commission’s division of enforcement, who joins the New York office as a partner.

Squire Sanders & Dempsey has hired IP partner Barry Goldsmith to its Tyson’s Corner, Virginia, office. He joins from Womble Carlyle, where he was a partner.

Offshore
Ogier has hired Marcus Hawgood as head of treasury services. He joins from Computer Patent Annuities, where he was group treasurer.
