Olswang quits Olswang

Simon Olswang, founding partner and chairman of the technology media and telecoms firm that bears his name, is retiring.
Olswang founded the firm in 1981 but has not done any fee-earning for some four years. He is understood to be leaving with an annuity package of around £200,000 a year for 10 years.
Olswang handed over the reins of the firm to 36-year-old chief executive Jonathan Goldstein, senior partner Mark Devereux and chief operating officer Kevin Munslow in 1998, but remained as an equity partner.
He is thought to have taken home the median amount between the top and bottom of equity each year since 1998.
Goldstein declined to comment on the details of Olswang’s remuneration or annuity packages.
