Southampton firm Paris Smith has bulked up its offering with two new partners.

Michael Moore (first left) joins from Blake Lapthorn, where he was a senior corporate finance and banking ­associate. Crispin Dick (first right) joins as both a partner and commercial team head from ­Clifford Chance, where he was a senior commercial associate. Pinsent Masons has scooped financial ­regulatory lawyer Michael Lewis as a partner from Norton Rose, where he was a consultant in the financial services group.

Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge has hired Richard Graham as a partner in its London office. He joins from Bird & Bird, where he was an ­associate.

IT company Tata Consultancy Services has appointed Craig Rogers as deputy corporate counsel for UK and Ireland responsible for risk, compliance and negotiating contracts with key clients. He joins from IBM, where he was a senior attorney for four years.

Manches has made up senior associate ­Siobhan Jones, a property litigator, and private client senior associate Amanda Nelson to partner.

St Philips Chambers has appointed Justin Luckman as head of the commercial clerking team following two decades as a clerk at
No5 Chambers.


Carey Olsen has appointed former Appleby Bermuda consultant Michael McAuley as a ­counsel in its litigation department in Guernsey. He specialises in contentious and ­non-contentious trust and pensions law.

Barrister Douglas Close has left the bar to join Mourant Ozannes in London as a consultant and global head of the international private client practice.

Isle of Man firm Dougherty Quinn has hired Leanne McKeown as a dispute resolution associate from Wilson Nesbitt Solicitors in Belfast.

British Virgin Islands firm Harneys has taken on Walkers senior associate Simon Hudd for its corporate and finance teams, where he is also a senior associate.


Bryan Cave has hired Jean de Hauteclocque as counsel and Anna Obolensky as associate in its Paris office covering dispute resolution. Both join from JDH Avocats, which de Hauteclocque founded last year and where Obolensky was an associate.

The International Association of Defense Counsel has appointed CMS Hasche Sigle Stuttgart disputes and transactions partner Anton Maurer to its board of directors.

Kirkland & Ellis tax associate Angela Russo has transferred from the Chicago office to Hong Kong.


Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton associate Gary Simmons has joined the ­Association for Financial Markets in Europe as director of ­capital markets. Simmons worked in Cleary’s New York and later London offices.
