Webb will head the London office’s real estate capability, with a focus on private sector clients in real estate investment, real estate M&A and corporate occupier trading.
Webb said: “I’ve developed a great portfolio of contacts in the last 18 months or so who are all at the cusp of stepping back into the real estate market in the post-recession new world order. I suspect this may well have had its attractions to GTM.”
Webb was at Eversheds for 22 years. His clients included Quintain, Lend Lease and Henderson and his practice focuses on real estate development and investment. He was formerly head of client solutions and part of the real estate senior management group.
Eversheds managing partner and former head of real estate Lee Ranson said: “GTM’s obviously much more a start-up for him. We’re sure there’s going to be opportunities to work together.”
Webb added: “A key factor is how to deliver and outsource work that supports big-ticket work.
On that work the only important thing is about delivery. I’m not expecting to bulk up and don’t want to do volume work.”
