InBev ramps up global competition offering with CC hire

Brewing giant InBev has reinforced its competition capability with the hire of a Brussels Clifford Chance lawyer, who will coordinate the company’s global competition team.

Kylie Sturtz has joined InBev’s legal team in Leuven, Belgium, where the company is headquartered, and will report directly to corporate counsel Miren Aguirre.

Sturtz told The Lawyer: “My role is to know what’s going on across the organisation and to ensure that there’s consistency in communication across the different geographical zones.”

Prior to joining InBev, Sturtz was an associate at Clifford Chance in Brussels. She has also worked at Australia’s Allens Arthur Robinson and the Australian Competition and Consumers Commission.

On her move to InBev, she said: “Working at InBev is a fantastic opportunity for me. As well as being an international company, InBev has just been through a merger, which makes it an exciting time to join the company.”
