The in-house legal sentiment survey is back for its second edition.

The first edition ran back in September 2020, and the pandemic was very much front of mind in our analysis. We discovered that:

  • 53 per cent of in-house lawyers saw their productivity increase during lockdown
  • 50 per cent of in-house lawyers had seen no change in their level of influence since lockdown began
  • 68 per cent of in-house lawyers believe that the main role of the legal department is to be a ‘strategic adviser to the business’

This time around our focus is on your outside counsel. We’re looking to understand how you collaborate with your preferred law firms and where, if at all, you think they could be doing better.

We’re after responses from all in-house lawyers, and your response will remain anonymous.

Our analysis will help to inform insight and discourse around the vital in-house community.

If you’re an in-house lawyer, take the survey here.

We’re also looking to conduct interviews to supplement our findings, so if you’d like to take part, or if you have any questions about the project, please contact Jesse Middleton.
