Salary range

Annual bonuses for fee-earners determined by hours utilised and can be up to 15 per cent of salary. For support staff, the bonus is dependent on the firm’s performance.

Each practice generates its own education. Training and development throughout partner, fee-earner and practice support population.

No 360° appraisal system.

Partner progression
Ninety per cent of partners are home-grown, 10 per cent laterals. Partner selection begins at an assessment centre and includes psychometric testing (occupational personality questionnaires, verbal and numerical reasoning tests).

Billable hours target
1,250 for partners, 1,500 for assistants, 1,000 for trainees.

Up to four years 25 days; 5-6 years 26 days;
7-9 years 27 days; 10 years 28 days.

Dental, critical illness, long-term disability and private medical insurance, sabbaticals, study assistance. Pensions contributions are offered at 5 per cent at 28 years of age, between 30 and 40 years at 8 per cent and over 40 years at 10 per cent.
