What’s your most vivid memory from being a trainee?
Having amazing fun working round the clock in the M&A team with an unassuming but brilliant senior associate from Yorkshire, Matthew Layton – now slightly more elevated!
What is the wisest thing anyone ever said to you (and who said it)?
Never waste a good claret (former ITV CEO!)
Who (for better or worse) has been the most influential person in your career? Why?
I have been fortunate to have worked with many amazing people over the years, and in fact have worked with three CEOs on more than one occasion. All have been exceptional leaders, cared about their team and had a great sense of humour.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to get to where you are/do the job you do?
Find a good mentor, only work for organisations where you share the values and admire the leadership team and always retain your sense of humour
