Hogan Lovells has retained 79 per cent of its qualifying trainees this spring.

Of 29 qualifiers, 26 applied for newly qualified (NQ) jobs at the firm and 23 were made offers, with all accepting.

Nine will take up roles in the corporate group, with seven joining litigation, arbitration and employment, six going to the finance practice and one accepting a position in the firm’s government regulatory team.

Last autumn the firm kept on 80 per cent of its qualifying trainees.

After a series of rounds where the percentage of trainees kept on was in the 70s, Hogan Lovells has done better of late, recording 93 per cent retention – its best figure in years – this time last year.

Last autumn the firm recruited its first set of trainees to be based in its low cost centre in Birmingham.screen-shot-2017-02-23-at-14-31-40
