As revealed by The Lawyer (16 May), Herbert Smith occasionally likes to hoard documents. The firm was roundly castigated by Equitable Life judge Mr Justice Langley for not carrying out a full disclosure exercise in the case.
Now the firm has found the perfect solution by investing in a high-tech storage system. According to the storage company’s guff, it is “designed to utilise expensive floorspace more efficiently”.
If the money means the firm can find the documents it needs to disclose more easily, it will be a few quid well spent.
